Invisible Threads: Opening Reception

Invisible Threads
Curated by Devaki Murch

Exhibit runs April 4 - 25, 2026

Invisible Threads brings together deeply personal reflections, images, and artifacts of those connected by Operation Babylift. This exhibit honors those whose lives were lost as well as those who survived the C-5A plane crash in April 1975 that occurred during Operation Babylift - the mass airlift evacuation of Vietnamese children from Vietnam to the United States and other Western countries to their adopted families. Invisible Threads makes available to the public insights beyond mainstream media depictions.

Devaki Murch, survivor of the Operation Babylift plane crash, is a photographer, curator and passionate advocate who questions and recognizes the complicated media landscape and the power of storytelling. She brings a unique perspective and dedication to creating space for uncovering, acknowledging, and sharing the multi-faceted stories that have influenced the lives of the Operation Babylift community.
