Karma Star-Prayer Bead Community Callings
With Tara Evonne Trudell
Join Tara Evonne Trudell as she offers a kind and sacred space to come together and participate in shared ceremony. We will create our own unique prayer beads that may speak to aspects of emotional health and well-being, survivor solutions, refugees, land love, protecting our children, our elders, and more. Tara’s workshops offer a healing and powerful transference of energy that uplifts the spirit and our own purpose, creating kinship in the purest way possible; taking back, redefining and decolonizing our own value in each bead.
Tara Evonne Trudell, (Santee Sioux/Rarámuri/Xicana) is a poet, photographer, filmmaker, whose work addresses the many social issues she sees as a continuance of generational trauma on women and children. Tara offers her personal experience of being a grandmother, granddaughter, daughter, mother, sister, and one day a future ancestor as an opening to bear witness to others who are struggling with their own intergenerational abuse and trauma. With one bead at a time, we can reclaim a time and place before harm entered our ways of life.
