LIVING THE DREAM (a dissociative thing)
began in response to curator Dan Drossman's prompt, "What do we need right now?"

Curator Todd Edward Herman opened a call for entries inviting artists to reflect on that question by considering the psychological experience of dissociation as both a personal condition and a cultural symptom. Drawing on the language of the American Dream, LIVING THE DREAM (a dissociative thing) examines what happens when the world feels increasingly absurd, unstable, or unreal—and how we adapt when reality no longer aligns with our expectations of it.

Living The Dream (a dissociative thing) is included as part of the exhibit, Flipping Scripts II: Exhibition of Colorado Curators, organized by Dan Drossman.

Opening Reception: July 17, 2026, 6–9 PM
Exhibit dates: July 17 – August 8, 2026
